Dr. Chaya is a social sector strategist and impact specialist with 16 years of experience spanning philanthropy, academia, research, innovation, policy and capacity building.

In addition to teaching and research focused on the social sector, Dr. Chaya held various senior positions across international universities, while consulting for public and private sector institutions in diverse sectors. In philanthropy, Dr. Chaya led a multimillion-dollar portfolio of education grants, building strategic partnerships with global UN and multilateral agencies, to alleviate poverty through education interventions spanning 60 countries.

Dr. Chaya has supported private philanthropists, NGOs, and businesses to align with global frameworks like the SDGs and ESG in the pursuit of better results and wider impact. In her work, Dr. Chaya built investment strategies, advocacy campaigns, and led the design and implementation of multi-thematic programs and portfolios while also building monitoring, evaluation and learning frameworks as well as specialized research projects.

At Gratiya Advisory, Dr. Chaya is the Impact lead enabling governments, businesses and institutions to achieve bold visions for purpose-driven prosperity through value-led growth and transformation. Dr. Chaya speaks 3 languages and holds a Bachelor of Economics, a Masters in Project Management, and a PhD in Management.
